Do Indian citizens need a visa to visit Thailand?
Indian tourists can enter Thailand under the Visa Exemption Scheme, allowing a stay of up to 30 days without a visa (valid from November 10, 2023, to May 10, 2024). For stays up to 15 days, Indian nationals can also avail Visa on Arrival. For longer stays (up to 60 days), a Tourist Visa must be obtained in advance.  
 ·        Visa on Arrival: Valid for 15 days, available at designated entry points. ·        Tourist Visa: Single-entry (up to 60 days stay, extendable by 30 days) and Multiple-entry (valid for 6 months, 60 days per visit, extendable).  
A valid passport (minimum 6 months validity), a completed visa application form, recent passport-sized photographs, confirmed return/onward flight tickets, proof of accommodation, proof of sufficient funds (at least 10,000 THB per person), and travel insurance are required.  
The best time to visit Thailand is from November to April, when the weather is cool and dry, ideal for outdoor activities.  
A minimum of 5 days is recommended to explore key attractions, with 7 to 8 days ideal for a more relaxed and comprehensive experience.  
Thailand is generally safe for Indian tourists, including solo female travelers. However, basic precautions and safety measures should be observed, as advised by the Indian Embassy in Bangkok.
